Prohibited waste is the type of garbage that we cannot accept for removal due to EPA regulation, landfill policies, safety concerns, or mechanical conservation. We try to be as reasonable as possible, here is a list of items of prohibited waste.
- Construction Debris
- Car Batteries and Other Acids
- Engine Oils and Oil Filters
- Thick Wood
If you have any of the above items that need to be disposed of properly. Give us a call and we will be glad to provide you with a quote for disposal.
Heavy Trash is defined as trash that is generated by ordinary maintenance of a household but too large for containers. Maximum of 2 items per month. This includes, small appliances, yard waste, hot water heaters, small furniture, mattresses, dishwashers, and grills. These items must be capable of being lifted onto a truck by two persons. Boxes must be broken down and lumber must be cut into three-foot (3’) lengths and put into bundles that do not exceed forty pounds (40lbs) in weight.
Eastside Waste Services can no longer dispose of CFC refrigerant containing items such as refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners. They must have a certificate of removal from qualified technician attached to the item for it to be picked up. Refrigerators or freezers should be empty and have the doors removed or tied shut for the safety of children.
HEAVY TRASH IS OFFERED ONCE A MONTH. YOU MUST CALL OFFICE TO SCHEDULE.
BRANCHES AND TREE TRIMMINGS
For the safety of our employees and equipment, all branches and tree trimmings must not be larger than three inches (3”) in diameter and be cut, tied and bundled in three-foot (3’) lengths weighing no more than forty pounds (40lbs), and no more than THREE (3) bundles.
TRASH COLLECTION TIPS:
Trash must be set out for pick up by 6AM each pick up day.
Trucks will pass your residence only once and Trucks will not return to an area once completed.
All trash receptacles and bags MUST be clearly visible. Vehicles parked in front of trash or trash receptacles and bags being placed behind bushes, trees or brick mailboxes could prevent collection
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR PICK UP
Eastside Waste Services will NOT collect and is not limited to the following items…. rocks, bricks, ceramic tile, concrete, dirt, ashes, paint, tires and hazardous materials.
